The SE50AL foam is an alveolar acoustic foam made up of polyurethane (2,000x1,400) and which is 50 mm thick (a 20mm heel/30 mm spikes).
Thicker than the SE30AL, the SE50AL foam is the leading for acoustic foams thanks to its good value for money.
It is widely used in the phonic insulation field thanks to its open cell structure that allows it to trap sound waves and its high-performance heavy mass.
Generally used when dust and dampness do not represent damage factors, it could be easily cut through a Stanley knife or blade and it is also easy to lay thanks to its adhesive side. It can be used in an efficient way to soundproof industrial machines, compressors, engines, etc...
Remember that noise nuisance produced by a machine or an engine could be reduced by installing rubber suspensions, metal suspensions, air suspensions or Gripsol dampening plates (for further information, please consult our antivibratory range).
Do you know the best value for money for reducing vibrations ? The Super-Resilient plates.
To measure acoustic levels, Solutions Elastomères recommends an efficient and high-performance sound level meter : Th BK732 sound level meter.
