SE552 rubber foam

The SE552 foam is an acoustic foam made up of Neoprene rubber and EPDM. Available in 2,000x1,000 mm plates, this foam can be produced in different thicknesses from 2 up to 50 mm (recommended thicknesses for soundproofing : 20, 25, 30 ou 40 mm).

Totally waterproof thanks to its closed cell structure, the SE552 foam is a multipurpose one that may be used inside or outside (water resistance, good ageing). Its great density 130 Kg/m3 is also an important advantage that allows filtering noise nuisance.

Generally used when dust and dampness are damage factors, it can be cut through a Stanley knife or a blade (we recommend using water to make cutting easier) and gets glued by using neoprene glue. It can be used in an efficient way to soundproof industrial machines, outgroups, engines, machines, etc...

Remember that noise nuisance produced by a machine or an engine could be reduced by installing rubber suspensions, metal suspensions, air suspensions or Gripsol dampening plates (for further information, please consult our antivibratory range).
